FAQs

How do I know if animation is worth the investment?

We get this, it’s a big cost, and we won’t shy away from the fact animation and motion design is not the cheapest option. Projects can start at £10k and move up beyond the £100k mark depending on the complexity of the project.

One thing we do chat to our regular clients about is how long this film, or films, will be used for? Is this a one off piece for a social post? If so, is it really worth that amount of investment for the time that it will be seen?

If this is a piece that will have a long duration, it could well give you the return. For example, a set of animations that will train your new staff over the next 5 years of expansion? And a piece we can quickly modify for you at little cost? In that case then yes, it could well be a cost effective way to do things, and the Regency Case study is one such example.

Getting your audience to remember your brand campaign or commercial is a sure fire way to demonstrate success . And this is where the craft and design comes into play. With projects like the Dreams campaign, it took time to test and design the characters to ensure they worked. This couldn’t be rushed through. The outcome was something that ranked in the top 2% of adverts, as these System 1 results demonstrated.

If the CEO isn’t sure that animation is worth the investment, they could well be right, and in many instances, we’d suggest so. But hopefully these case studies demonstrate the situations when it could be the best, and most cost effective way to connect the message with the audience.
