		<description>Great read. I think about this definition a lot in terms of the work I get offered that straddles all these areas. I see myself sitting pretty firmly in the motion graphics camp with one foot in post (and aspirationally live-action directing), and not remotely in what&#039;s considered the traditional &#039;animation&#039; camp. A big difference as I see it, is motion graphics is exactly that, &#039;Graphic Design&#039; in motion, whereas I see animation as being &#039;Illustration&#039; in motion and typically character based at that. Surprises me how often I find I&#039;m expected to be proficient in one just because I&#039;ve plenty evidence of the other.</description>
